As a student in the Marine and Recreational Vehicle Technology Program, you have a unique advantage upon graduation. You’ll learn the ins and outs of the marine side and the land side of recreational vehicles. Where else can you get that in a single program? With this unique program you get an in-depth and behind the scenes look at both the RV field as well as the Marine field. After graduation you can choose to stick to one of these or to specialize in both, depending on how many hours you would like to work. Below we outline some figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

  • Florida is the #1 state in the country for employment of Marine Service Technicians, by far. People employed in this industry in the state of Florida make an annual mean wage of $45,410 as of May, 2018. This translates to $21.83 an hour before benefits.
  • Florida is the #4 state in the country for employment of Recreational Vehicle Service Technicians. People employed in this industry in the state of Florida make an annual mean wage of $42,860 as of May, 2018. This translates to $20.61 an hour before benefits.

PROGRAM Highlights

Graduates of J-Tech’s Marine and RV Technology Program acquire the entry-level skills necessary for a career as a marine or a recreational vehicle service technician. You will be working hands-on, learning diagnostics and repair as well as learning the soft skills required to be successful in your career. Learn to disassemble and reassemble the entire power train of a unit from the head and block to the trim system.
